Music Hall Community Choir
The Music Hall Community Choir sings a variety of genres including shape note, country gospel, folk, and protest/movement. Although much of our music comes from the American Christian tradition, singers of any faith and no faith are welcome. We are located in Saint Paul’s Midway neighborhood.
The choir is sponsored by the House of Mercy Music Hall and House of Mercy Church.
Choir director: Pierre Gingerich-Boberg
Choir coordinator: Brenna Horn
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there auditions?
No.
How much music or choir background experience should choir members have?
All are welcome, but having some music background is helpful.
Is this a trick to get me to go to church? Will people try to convert me?auditions?
No. House of Mercy is not that kind of church. Choir members are expected to show respect for others’ religious or non-religious identities (along with all other facets of their identities!).
How long has this choir been around?
