About

A neighborhood performance space + music, art, writing, community

In a time of increasing isolation and fragmenting communities, House of Mercy Music Hall provides a creative public performance space where everyone is welcome and encourages collaboration across disciplines, genres, ages, ideologies, and identities.

In the past, new bands and those from marginalized communities could get shows at local bars and clubs that regularly set aside nights for new and unknown performers. Now bookings are dependent on showing large numbers of followers, likes, and downloads across multiple platforms.

Access is limited to those who can prove they have large audiences before they’ve even played their first show.

A growing number of regular live music goers still want to hear live music but would like an environment that is more focused on listening, starts before their bedtime, and gives them the option of bringing the whole family.

The Music Hall provides a welcoming community performance venue for these audiences and a safe and supportive space for new performers.
